I use abstract art and photography together in one unified work. My abstract art represents the spiritual world. My photographs represent our physical world. I imagine the spiritual world with drawing, painting, collage and sculpture and with a visual language of abstract faces, forms, lines, shapes and symbols. I imbue my visual language with the sense it represents eternal spiritual truths beyond our comprehension because that is what the spiritual world contains.
Combining abstract art and photography in one work represents the spiritual and physical worlds merging and becoming one. This will happen in the future when we realize human evolution must accelerate for humanity to survive. Human beings will then begin to spiritually evolve. The two worlds will merge and become one. The eternal spiritual truths of the spiritual world will become part of our new world. We will absorb them and use them to guide us as we create a new and more peaceful human civilization.
What I feel seeing my abstract art and photographs in one work is similar to how human beings will feel when they find themselves living in a new world they do not recognize that is actually two worlds in one.
